At the moment, the ČHMÚ warning is in effect from 15:00 to 20:00 in the regions of Central Bohemia, Liberec, Asti, Karlovy Vary and Prague, as well as the northern part of the Pilsen region. On Thursday, thunderstorms will first affect the whole of Bohemia, with the warning in effect from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Then they will move to Moravia and Silesia, where the warning is issued from 15:00 to 21:00. In addition to the cold and wind, there will likely be more rain than today, with a volume of precipitation of up to 40 mm.

Attenuating currents

According to HMÚ workers, rain today and Thursday could flood small streams and flood basements or tunnels. The wind can then break trees and there is also a risk of injuries from flying objects or hail and lightning. So people should be careful when moving outdoors and when driving a car.
